Open any history textbook on Japan and you will be sure to find a mention of the Tomioka Silk Mill. This famous site is located in Gunma Prefecture in Japan's Kanto region. Gunma is a popular destination for international students for many reasons, one being the prefecture's "onsen" hot springs, with the Kusatsu Hot Springs being some of the most famous. Many international students visit a hot spring to reward themselves after working hard at their studies. Beautiful nature is also abundant in Gunma.
